CHIA AND OATS PUDDING
Do you find yourself craving for something sweet and healthy at any time of the day?
Well, this recipe’s got you covered. You can eat it as breakfast or as a quick snack or dessert.
The best part of the pudding is that it’s simple to make and quick to prepare. It doesn’t need anything more than 4 basic ingredients which, of course is always available in your kitchen.
Ingredients
2 tbsp of chia seeds
1 cup milk
¼ cup of oats/granola
2 tbsp of berries, nuts and seeds
1 45ml jar of Jar’ganic jam
Directions
Start with adding chia seeds into your milk. If you are looking for vegan options, you can consider almond milk or oat milk.
Soak the chia seeds for 30 minutes. If you prefer a thick consistency, you can add more chia seeds to your milk.
Use a glass jar or tumbler or even a bowl and place your soaked chia seeds into it.
Add granola or oats on it. I prefer adding dried fruits and nuts – almonds, cashews, dried berries, seeds such as sunflower seeds along with the granola.
Like the cherry on top of a cake, top your pudding with some of the fresh fruit Jar’ganic spreads. I prefer the apple-cinnamon jam, gives you a warm dessert feeling. They are made without preservatives and are natural jams and preserves. It adds as a sweetener as well as a fruit topping to your pudding.
Refrigerate the pudding for a more satiated and sumptuous chia pudding. Thereby creating your wholesome and healthy dessert or breakfast which is tasty and nutritious.
Try this recipe with different flavours of Jar’ganic jams ranging from apple cinnamon, pineapple, guava to plum.
